So, in no particular order:
- Malaysia - It's where I came out of my mother! A beautiful country with beautiful people of Malay, Chinese and/or Indian heritage, Malaysia is "Truly Asia". It also has the best food in the world at fantastic prices! Yum!
- Manchester United - I grew up watching this football/futbol/soccer team play. They are absolute magic on the field: deft touches, tricks and spins, clean tackling, confident defending, and of course, brilliant goals. Going to their home stadium, Old Trafford, was one of my best ever experiences. One of the criteria that I ask of my future husband is that he has to support Manchester United. A little crazy? Maybe, but that's how I roll!
- Mothers - They probably have the most important and rewarding job in the world. What a miracle it is to give birth to life! Mothers love us unconditionally, yet we hurt them with our snide remarks and lies. I've been away from my Mother for a year now. This has made me realise how important she is to me and how much I really miss her. PS. John Lennon's "Mother" is heartrending and painful, but definitely worth a listen!
- Museums - I love them, from the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, to the smaller Immigration Museum in Melbourne; from the Shakespeare's house-cum-museum in Stratford-upon-Avon, to the London Dungeon; from the British Museum to the Pearl Museum in Bahrain - they each have their own quirky personalities and are always chock-full of history and loads of interesting things.
- Macademia & White Chocolate Chip cookies- THE BEST EVER COOKIES! Get 'em from Subway... 3 for AUD$2! Yum!
- Melbourne - I am in love with its "people; the food and restaurants; the live music and comedy venues; the changeable weather; the parks; the arcades and lanes; the architecture; the trams. But mostly there is this feeling of finally being somewhere comfortable and embracing, a feeling that has never really gone away."
- Mouths - What an interesting part of the human body! It enables us to communicate the nicest and meanest things with/to one another, to show emotion, to convey affection, and to sustain ourselves, nutritionally. It's definitely multi-purpose!
- Meditation - Whether you find it in yoga, in prayer, or just sitting down and zoning out, it always provides a restful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
- Muneeb Khan - My cricket-playing, chain-smoking virtue ethicist of a boyfriend! He knows I know he's great.
- Mohawks - Actually, they're terrible, but it always brings a smile to my face when I see a bogan with this '80s hairstyle on the streets of Canberra. *sigh*
